Workplace Ki is a specialist in working with First Nation organizations that are primarily regulated by the federal government. The goal of the approach is to blend traditional knowledge with the best practices from the field of Human Resources and other evolving business theories.
At the heart of the Workplace Ki approach is the belief in the interconnectedness of all elements within an organization, from the community to the individuals within it. The focus is on creating long-term stability and sustainability in the workplace. Workplace Ki was first established in 2017 and has since been developed through its experience working with First Nation communities and other First Nation organizations. Workplace Ki works in collaboration with various partners to deliver comprehensive projects that align with the specific needs and goals of each organization.
The Workplace Ki approach begins with a deep understanding of the values of the organization and the community it serves. Strategies, policies, and procedures are developed to reflect the organization's values and to build lasting connections within the workplace. Through the use of traditional management methods, Workplace Ki creates solutions that are tailored to the unique needs of each organization.
Some past projects undertaken by Workplace Ki include the development of a workplace harassment and violence toolkit, serving as the chair and speaker for an Indigenous Human Resources Conference, facilitating team building activities, conducting policy and compensation reviews, and developing Indigenous recruitment and inclusion strategies.
